Powering Chicago and Northwestern University have teamed up for a STEM Day in October that will introduce Chicagoland students to the basics of electrical work. The event will test students’ skills in calculating the electrical demand of a home, completing an electricians’ challenge course, designing a photovoltaic array, and bending conduit.
All competitors will receive a ticket to the Northwestern vs. UMass football game on November 16, as well as tickets to Northwestern’s STEM Day. The grand prize winners will receive sideline passes to the Northwestern vs. UMass football game.
