Powering Chicago members Gurtz Electric and Lyons & Pinner Electric were both recently featured on ABC-TV’s Built to Last program.
Gurtz Electric was featured for its work at NEMA, a new residential tower in Chicago’s downtown. The luxury apartment building gave Gurtz and IBEW 134 electricians an opportunity to deploy a new iPad-focused BIM program that allows for seamless changes to the electrical footprint of the building while on site. This program increases efficiency on site and decreases costs for our customers.
Lyons & Pinner Electric was featured as part of a CPR training story that highlighted the heroic efforts of two Carpenters Local 272 members who performed their CPR training on a Local 134 electrician. Thanks to the quick thinking of these two Local 272 members, a life was saved here in Chicago. Lyons & Pinner Electric and IBEW Local 134 honored the two men at a ceremony earlier this year.
