Powering Chicago has brought together leading experts within the electrical technology field to provide demonstrations to attendees at the 2020 Electric Association Conference and Trade Show this Thursday and Friday, January 9-10 at the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace.
Over the course of the two-day show, Powering Chicago will sponsor six technology demonstrations ranging from 3D laser scanning on the job site to VFD shield termination to robotic total stations for digital layout.
The labor-management partnership between IBEW Local 134 and the Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago rebranded as Powering Chicago and recently launched three new guiding principles: Better Construction. Better Careers. Better Communities.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the leading technology that’s shaping our industry today and into the future,” said John Donahue, Executive Director of Powering Chicago. “Many of our electricians and contractors use these tools on a daily basis on job sites all across Cook County to more efficiently get jobs completed.”
Presenters at this year’s show include Trimble, Milwaukee Tool, and Southwire.
