A new Gallup poll shows Americans have a 64 percent approval rating of labor unions, compared with 32 percent who do not approve.

The survey was conducted in August and shows a 2 percent increase in support of labor unions over the same time one year prior. The 64 percent approval rating is the highest rating labor unions have received since 2003.
